  • About

The only independent new and used general bookstore in Kirkland! BookTree is a vibrant gathering place for the exchange of ideas, and discussion of books and the literary arts. It is a place where all are welcome to continue their journey, expand their knowledge, feed their interests and further their education through books and literature. It is a place for families to find and enjoy the best of current literature. We have a large children's room with beanbags, Legos, and scheduled story-time. A place where our customers can hear local and traveling writers, authors and poets present their work. We also have some gently used DVD's, Audio Books..

We welcome Book Clubs, will do special orders for any book in print and have gift certificates too. We frequently have authors in our store talking about and signing their books. We have special literary events, 3rd Saturday free workshops and evening poetry reading and open mics and more.

BookTree is owned by 2 people (Mary and Chris) who are passionate about the inherent value of books, reading, writing, listening and sharing diverse ideas, and viewpoints. Mary previously co-owned Parkplace Books.
